I would check harriscycles.com, they have lots of inexpensive names, and then see if you can get them in the UK.

I have a pair of the Harris hubs in black (http://sheldonbrown.com/harris/fixed-hubs.html)
they are very nice, but I would suggest you look at On-One if you want cheap because Harris have a $100 minimum order +$35 carrage for overseas stuff. A pair of hubs, sprocket and lockring just nicely gets you there though if you do go with them.

I bought a "zenith" double sided high flange hub from cyclebasket. It was about £20, and is a rebranded Harris, IRO, Formula, or whatever else you want to call it. Locknuts are apparently a bit dodgy, but I've not had an issue with them and theyre cheap to replace if they do go.
Oh and on-one sell some nice suzue's on priceshaggers.com for cheap at the mo!

I ride Goldtec. They cost me about £130 for the pair, and I've waited since the start of June for them but they are seriously nice. British equivalent of Phils.
