mashton had a great idea - ride round the Royal Parks one Sunday.

Route to be finalized - Suggestions welcome - Circuitous route - Start around ten - Get back for polo

That's quite a ride you're looking at there, just the Richmond Park to Greenwich Park bit will take a while.

We can skip a few, I didn't know there were that many. Or we can start earlier?

or just do the central ones?? depending on where the social ride os leaving from...

that sounds like a decent plan. those who want get to stick some miles in their legs and then nice and relaxed for the central parks

FYI: Bushy Park is next door to Hampton Court Palace, just over Kingston Bridge behind Sigma Sport. No 'road' around it, but some good navigable tarmaced and gravel/dirt tracks. From Richmond Park head towards Teddington Lock foot bridge to get to Bushy Park, its only 3 or so miles between the two. Worth a trip. No hills at all tho.

I kinda like the original idea of doing all the parks. Unless its pissing down. Which seems to happen whenever rides are arranged ?!

Isn't Victoria park one as well? We could finish over that way, which is near the Polo pitch.

I don't mind riding around there sometimes on the longer version of my ride home - I have never seen it that busy and I ride around the rough stuff.

It's the only 'people's park' in London - and there's a ton of good pubs around it...

And it's near Brick Lane.
