I'd say the whole point about ebay is to get something cheaper, if you're getting outbid, its because the other bidder wants it more and is willing to pay more for it. Simple. If you have a budget for what you want and set a price for what you can afford, inc postage, and it goes over. shrug your shoulders and move on. Don't get caught up in the bidding frenzy, in that direction lies money madness and a blown budget etc etc etc.
And you know what it might take a bit longer (weeks/months rather than days/weeks) but another part will come down the pipe and you'll get it at a price you can afford. Getting outbid is frustrating, but thats the risk you take looking for something cheaper on ebay, if you brought it from a shop you wouldn't get outbid on it, it would just be more expensive. full stop.
