• Mat Sinclair I ride 48- 17 and find it very very tough to skid without leaning so far forwards that I look like a bearded twat trying to audition to be the "Spirt of Ecstasy" off of a Rolls Royce.

I could paint my self silver and make a mint in Covent Garden.

Any tips? Also ride cut down teeny tiny fakenger flat bars…..don’t know if that makes a difference….but I ride clip less which I know makes a difference….

    hahaha i like that...

i don't find it too hard to skid on a 48:17... the bars do make a difference. it's hard to keep the bike straight with tiny bars.

andrewleitch86 shouldn't 42x17 be quite easy? I noticed that I only get it right when I fully lock my left leg. I'm always tempted to bend it when I pull up with the right but whenever I do that I don't skid.

42:17 is almost a polo gear so will be dead easy you can easily do leg over handlebar skids with that gear i'm sure!
