Gone- but not forgotten

peejay78 it's a lovely bike - but i don't quite get why the tape appears at the bottom of the bars - the bike has a brake, suggesting it won't see much track action, and the owner's hands will not stray far from the tops. so is it purely an aesthetic decision?

A: 'cos it would be a shame to hide those lovely nitto bars
B: because we're all a bunch of tarts who like things to look good
