• stompy
Samsonite Oh, I was kind of looking forward to riding behind her, hissing and pulling her hair...

    That's ruined my Sunday

    ;)

If Hippy turns up, you can do it to him.
Yeah but the photoben will attack you with jealousy. Ahh, happy families...

  • Maybe I'll do it to everyone?

    It could be my 'thing'

Like the guy who has sex with pavements...

  • 11.30 at the beigel place then?

  • Sorry, you need to hiss at someone else. "not a race or one-upmanship thing" means I'm not interested hehe :)

  • i'll come if i can have an ice cream from this guy:

  • Where did you get my a shot of me in my pulling clothes from?

  • peejay78 11.30 at the beigel place then?

...Shall we just make the route up as we go along?

  • I just looked at that 'ice cream man' photo again...

That is singularly the most disturbing thing I've seen this year...

    Possibly this century.

I'm almost certain it's the lips...

I'm am pretty worried about the bucket on his left.

I suppose we should see it as a positive sign, 50 years ago or so he would not have lived past early infancy, it is a reflection of our advancements in ice-cream medicine that he can even stand there.

  • it's a bio-genetic miracle of the modern age.

the palsied knees are quite upsetting.

  • Stompy, we should probably just mash it over to High St Ken rather than think of a route - last time we didn't leave the meet point until 45 mins after we should have...

  • Is anyone heading over from the Greenwich area or South East London?

  • lucky7 Is anyone heading over from the Greenwich area or South East London?

I'm in Greenwich. I'm going over to Beigel Bake - then to the Greyhound.

Whisper back, and we'll sort something out.

Absolutely. What I meant was we'll sort out a route to High St Ken when we get together rather than try to hash one out on the forum.

  • Sent you a e-mail Stompy.

  • Good call, Stompy...

  • heh, was wanting to do this, then last night decided to promise my feeling-sorry-for-herself girlfriend that I'd take her to the flower market on sunday, quickly followed by a furniture shopping spree at IKEA. I'd cancel my plans with her if she hadn't told me this morning "you know.. I was so happy you wanted to go out with me on sunday instead of riding your bike.."

    bah. girls.

  • ok we'll meet beigel bake then head off, straight through town, then on along, down past royal albert, till we get to ken. takes 45 mins.

  • bah. girls.

Sheep or girls.. make up your mind!

  • sheep. but i'm from devon

  • Hi there,

I am new to fixed riding, and am a bit nervous about meeting up with the "hardcore" riders. Having read some of the discussions, I am worried about what others will make of me and my ride, as it could be termed a bit "bling" (yes, I bought it from blb!) and I am not in the least well versed in fixed riding, or indeed technically minded. But I love to ride it none-the-less!

What time does the meet at sth ken start? Did i read there will be a convoy from the east to the start point?

    Cheers

  • i read it as: meet at beigel bake at 11.30 to ride over, otherwise meet at 1pm at south ken. all welcome...

if your bike has an orange frame and yellow deep v wheels then it is a bit bling, yes. all the more reason to show up i reckon. i don't think anyone minds? i went to polo last week and everyone was very friendly.

  • It was the same as for me at Critical Mass, candide.
    Don't worry. They wont bite.
They're all nice, and it'll help your riding ability no end.

I should be there a little before 11.30 (got to get my brekky bagel). I'm coming over with Lucky7 from Cutty Sark.

  • cheers guys, I'll come down to the bagel shop then for the designated time. As for my riding ability, yes, it needs a lot of perfecting!
