threedaymonk
tomiskinky I find pedestrians to be responsible for most of my woes!!!
I was overtaking a stopped bus on Oxford Street a few weeks ago when a dopey ped walked out in front of me, looking the wrong way! I had been anticipating some kind of muppetry, so I wasn't going particularly fast, and I came to a stop just in time that we both escaped with a mild knocking of heads. Fortunately, neither of us was hurt, although she scattered her bags over the carriageway and will probably be looking both ways from now on.
I hate Oxford Street. I only had to go there to pick up my repaired laptop from the Apple Store.
Every. Bloody. Morning.
I have to ride down New Oxford St to get to Tottenham Ct Rd, which mercifully is not very ped-friendly. But New Oxford St is just a big bus stop on one side, and a queue of traffic waiting at the lights on the other. Peds walk out from behind almost every single bus, and sprint through the queuing traffic always looking in the wrong direction... But if you don't filter, you end up stuck in the traffic for a quarter hour.
So: Every. Bloody. Morning. I almost hit someone walking out from behind a car. And a fifth of the time it's a pretty girl who I feel really bad for having scared sh*tless and almost shouted at.
