I've got bars powdercoated black before and had them come out really nice, think I'd recommend powdercoat for bars over painting (stove enamelling) in my experience powdercoating gives you a more matt finish which wouldn't always be what you want on a frame but works well with bars, IMHO.
I use bull horns on my Langster (with barend levers) and find them really comfortable, I initially underestimated how much shorter a stem I'd need than with drops so was a bit stretched out, but once I sorted this out they were sweet. If you wanted some bullhorns to try out (if you're in London) I've got some spares you could borrow to try out and then we could sort out some kind of trade if you wanted to hold onto them, sorry not Nitto, they're either Bontrager or Outland, one sets bent, can't remember which, obviously I'd give you the unbent pair. Could provide these with the Paul Cross Lever if I can lay my hands on it, if not a bar end TT lever if you wanted.
Mid way through typing this my brother called, the Campagnolo V-brakes cost him £35 for the pair from Condor, he got the Veloces (because they were in silver) but apparently they also had the Mirages (which are black) and cost something like a tenner less. Realise this really belongs in another thread, but it's ballpark the same discussion. Having said all that V-brakes with bull horn bars feels somehow just a bitt odd to me.
