Hey Ed, Will do... They cheap? Wanted to chuck some Shimano 105s on seeing as they're only £15 from Wiggle... But Allen bolt... Bah! :-(
How are those wheels workin' out? You drive a hard bargain, Sir! ;-) -

you can fix alen bolts to nut bolt drilled forks, you just have to screw the alen bolt in from the centre not the back...

yeah the wheels seem to run fine after cleaning out and regreasing. it was hard work cleaning out the old grease they're sticky! the rear one's doing well, but the hub on the front has got bent flanges so i'll need to take the whole thing apart and hammer it straight before it'll run true.
you can have the cheapo brakes for a fiver.
they're shiny no brand but they do look a bit odd being so loooooooong.vegan's right but if you do that make sure you screw it dead dead tight.

That front came from the last Herne Hill jumble... Balls! Sorry to hear about that... More Herne Hill woes! :-(
Probably gonnna go for that Tektro, I'm running the same kinda clearance as you are and yours looked fine, not too long or anything...

that tektro i have is 47-57mm, shorter than those cheapos. just measure the distance between the drilling and the rim and see.

Anyone know where you can get the Tektro as a single front? Everywhere I've tried only sells in pairs... I might need two and don't really wanna have two redundant rears clutterin' up the place...
Weirdest thing happened the other day, I took the Shimano 105 off my IRO to see if it'd work on the other bike but it was too short... No surprise, so I stuck it back on the IRO and now it's too short on there an' all!?! Haven't had a chance to check it properly this weekend but it's strange... Must be goin' mad...
Days away from riding now.. :-D
Got my wheels back from Brixton Cycles on Saturday, they look awesome on the frame! :-D
Gonna need a long reach front brake now but it's got an old school drilling and I can't find anything that'll fit apart from an ugly BMX brake... Would rather avoid getting the fork redrilled to take an Allen bolt...
Any nice caliper brakes out there that'll fit?
