lol yeah! what about 'Roberto Bicicletas - Esquecer jamais!'
-

Interested in the House Of Smeear tweed. Any danger of seeing some samples??
-

Wayne that is awsome, really like it, its so very roberto :)
as for the tweed i got one sample throught (almost a meter!) and will have to wait for the rest, the stuff i got is very loose and may not work well for hats, i may be able to get round this by backing it with other material but i would rather not.
Linton tweed is generally very loosely woven, thats there style but im confident that ill get something together. Not till mid next month though

love it. just the wording could do with a little bit more letter space. Always good with all upper case, especially when arranged within a circle.
-
• #9
nah man, kern it til it squeaks :]
Always good with all upper case
cough sorry mr crouwel, mr brockmann, mr hoffmann and mr weingart - you've kerned your caps to tightly - get your cards and don't come in to work on monday
and yes, I know it doesn't quite register the same significance as global warming but... :]

mr crouwel, mr brockmann and mr hoffmann would probably never run type in a circle. mr weingart would (if he is drunk maybe)
-
• #11
yay! typo slamdown.
mr weingart - deffo [experiments with letterforms posters]
mr hoffmann - check out his graphic design, principles and practice book for plenty examples
mr crouwel - mode en module [he even puts a 'wave effect' on some headline type, crikey]was coughing more at the 'always good with all uppercase' comment
we should really be out on the bikes tho' really!
-- if you're into your type theres a guy coming over from germany with a sh!t load of otl aicher stuff in a couple of weeks, last time he was over i got the complete set of 1972 olympic guidelines manuals off him for 90 quid, he always has a good load of posters with him as well--

agree the Weingart poster would have looked crab with more letterspace. It might be too much of an american thing, they always have loooooaaads of kerning with caps. I still thing on form text in a circle it helps.
did you go and see mr crouwel when he did a talk couple of months ago?I am off on my bike now. Thanks for your frame colour comments. We should meet for a typo drink sometime.
Would love to meet the german guy, when is he coming over. Where does he deal his hot type stuff? -
• #13
yeah - mr crouwel rocked, just a cool old giffer who still absolutely loves design [IDEA magazine have done a special on crouwel, got a few bits in there that i'd not seen before]
we'll catch up for brewski and i'll give you a shout when the german fella is coming over
have a safe ride dude.
top tifter fella, kept me noggin nice and dry yesterday and the one you did for badrider was kickin it.
here's the sticker i did for robertos ebay sales that i mentioned to you yesterday
