asm smeeear is the back wheel on your pista stock but just painted green? I like it. Its weird, as soon as you remove/cover up the decals there's no way of telling that it's a pista :).
Now... as soon as i get back to newcastle i'm going to strip the decals off and take a photo of mine!!
change the fork, if you can get a nice crowned fork on there it will look nothing like a pista, go look at some of the bikes in my velospace friends links and you can see,
i was going to sell mine but i think i'll keep it and strip it, change the forks and such first

I know, right?! I thought the simplest thing to do was just to shoot with my mac cam. Turns out it shoots a mirror image kind of thing, crazy! So now my bike is all backwards and so am I!

ImOnCrank Yo motherfucker when you comin to NYC? Also say hi to mareesha and julie and ben and those kids out there for me!
dude!!! I want to come to NYC. I'm up for a couple of jobs, I'm looking at this as win-win. I get the jobs, yeah! I don't get the jobs, I come to NYC and crash on your couch for a month, yeah! (sorta) ermmm.
Was trying to get mikey out too but my midwest hometowness wants him to come here rather than NYC. But I don't think either is going to happen. ergh!
Don't worry I'll be in touch if I'm coming that way.I haven't met a mareesha, julie, or ben?!?
Apparently monday and tuesday are bike going out days here (freaks!) so maybe this coming week.Signed up for Chicago fixed gear forum too but I haven't been 'approved' yet [f*&kers, what am I, not good enough?]

onetwentyeight thanks, tracking down the history of that bike was quite an experience. i hope to be riding the stan miles again this winter. since i bent the top tube and down tube in my accident im having the tt length altered to fit me better, and then will be building it up a bit more modern and tearing it up again on the street. a friend of mine is working on a custom cross bike for me right now, and i cant wait...
the-smiling-buddha i also have a stan miles track frame made by bill hurlow under going some repairs after an unfortunate run in with an automobile.
128 - I was reading all about that stan miles on velospace, quite a find that one
I like your other one and all
both your bikes have a nice bit of 'class'
So are British bikes popular in san francisco..? I saw a really nice green and yellow Bob Jackson a little while back, FATLACE, that's someone in your neck of the woods, innit...? Green bikes are hard to get right, I wasn't so much in love with the wheels, but that frame was a beaut. Incidently I met this American girl over here in Paris this summer ( I am London but I live in Paris). I fixed her up with an Bob Jackson Audax which she has ridden from Leeds in England to bleedin Remini in Italy. she only a little slip of a thing you got to give her credit. Anyway to cut along story short she shall be moving to San Francisco in the fall so I'll hook her up on your sight and get fixed up with a fixed, take care mate, thanks for the visit.

So are the stock forks on a Pista the same size as regular threaded ones?? I been thinkin about swapping them for threaded and i dont really like the look of clamp on stems and its quite a long reach stem.
