  • So, Keirin's off but the weather looks good.
I'm gonna suggest Monday, and I can't suggest a definite destination/route at this point, but there's surely enough of us on here to get something together at reasonably short notice.
There's been talk of Cambridge, that would be fine - anywhere else is good too - suggestions anyone? Brighton? Oxford? Reading? (No)
Meet central-ride-pub-ride-pub-home, or something like that. Anyone? Bueller?

  • looks like i'm free over the weekend...g/f's gone to ibiza..........

  • although hippy would insist going out of town but i quite fancy a bit of messing around town in broad daylight.
    I'm for
"Meet central-ride-pub-ride-pub-home, or something like that."

  • sod hippy* that sounds jolly good to me

    *8^P

  • if the weather's good, I'm up for it.. What's the chance of making something up at herne hill?

  • slim......... ;^)

  • Good start....central meet, say Regents Park (optional race lap)?
General tour de londres (decided as we go), my knowledge is limited to north/west so if we're there I know good/quiet streets,
Wing it otherwise, ride and enjoy, there's always a decent pub nearby.
Highgate West Hill race at the end, or is that pushing it?

  • bugger, I would love to come but my misses has a day off and she will kill me if I go riding. Maybe I can set her up with a girlfriend for some shoe shopping and sneak away but chances are slim.

  • if you do london and/or start from regents park, i'm in!

brett, i thought i was only one that still says the bueller thing, hahaaa. i remember saying it in a class i was taking at uni, and everyone had a blank face, like WTF is this guy on.

  • Tis truly one of the greatest films of all time.

  • What's with you softies?? Long weekend and you're scared to go to far from London?!
'fraid mummy won't be close enough to wipe away your tears if you p_nct_re?

brett: you like riding out of London don'tcha?? Come on!!

Farksake people - explore this fine country of yours! grumbles away.. off to hunt city w@nkers

  • anyone? anyone? anyone? bueller?
    lol

  • I'm down for a ride, for sure...

If we go out of London, I have to go south, 'cos then Mummy will be close enough to wipe away my tears when I puncture...

  • I'm down

  • Me too.

  • Me 3 ( if in London!)

  • am out of town all weekend. riding, exploring this fine country of ours. but also not a million miles from mumsy, tea and wet ones. yee haw

  • I'm in Cambridge visiting the in-laws until Monday, so could do the ride back** from Cambridge (or pass you guys going the other way!).

Or, if more achievable could ahem drive back to London and then go for a more gentle ride midday onwards. Missed the Bridges Ride so am well up for a LFGSS ride.

  • Come to the track on Saturday morning! 8:45 induction/taster session, 11:00 faster training session.

    3/6 pounds.

  • Mouse, let's set up a west London riot next week then, as i'm not sure if i can make this weekend either, although i'm damn well going to try. yes'm

  • I'm working this w/e but would be with Hippy on this one, if it's nice weather get on out of the stinking city, get some nature.

  • Tommy for Prime Minister! :)

  • hippy brett: you like riding out of London don'tcha?? Come on!!

Yes. I go and play in the traffic every day, so to be honest I'd rather get out on some quiet country lanes and have a look at some fields etc, go somewhere a bit different. In the dry. In daylight.

  • Petersfield petersfield petersfield petersfield petersfield!!

  • did someone say petersfield?? thats not a bad idea
