the coppers nicked my bike in denver after i got arested at critical mass, they held it for 'evidince' and then sold it at auction before my trial! at least i got to ask a copper if it was standard partice for the denver police to auction off evidince, or just to arest people for asking an officer for the detials he is legaly required to provide.

For anyone who thinks that London coppers are bad, I present you the US.
There are worse cops in the world, but it would have to be the third world. I wish I was exaggerating...

Got pulled last year, poor old plod was spent by the time he got me, hands shaking, short of breath... poor lamb.
He only caught me because I had stopped for the lights further on, don't jump lights that often, but the time I did get caught was at a crossing by plod HQ, so guess I was tempting fate!!! £30 fine... mate of mine got pulled after jumping 2 sets of lights and they fined him £60!!! -

There was an interesting moment on the Bridges feeder ride from Brick Lane when the whole bunch of us jumped the lights right near a police car.
We were riding along with fixed 'we didn't do anything' looks on our faces. He came alongside, got on his loudhailer and asked us to ride single file instead of in a bunch - he even said 'thanks' when we obliged...

the really big one a couple months ago, a guy got fined for riding on the pavement. It was right at the end of the mass and just about noone noticed.. He had been warned and still pushed it a bit, the copper got pissed of being ignored..

Admittedly, it did sound like that. I am blessed with a finely trained ear for people who shout at me.

Understandable. I have an Army father so my ears are trained to tune out when people shout at me.
