Crank Brother Acid pedals in normal shoes

Posted on
  • I'm thinking of getting some Crank Brother Acid pedals to put onto my Pompino, but I was wondering if anyone has riden them in normal work shoes.

I use the bike to commute to work and wear my work shoes, so was looking for something that will not dig into the sole of my shoe.

Do the clip-in bars on the acid protrude above the surface, or are they recessed?

    Thanks for any help.

  • Leave your work shoes at work and cycle in your cycling shoes. That or get some clips and starps for during the week. Why make life uncomfy and loose some of your control of the bike?

  • Suicide.

  • thanks for the idea.

has anyone got the acid pedals? are they any good?

  • I've got Acid pedals on my mountain bike. I like the fact they have a bit more of a platform than eggbeaters. Having said that they aren't at all comfortable with normal shoes. The spring part still sits proud of the platform so you can feel it pushing through the soles of your shoes. For cycling shoes only IMHO. Anyway, riding fixed on flats strikes me as being a bit crazy!
