claus as in Claus Lauer the guy who build my frist track frame. well, he build it when i was about 6 or 7 and it took 25 years to grow into it. thats my part of the story. Claus story would probably be that he build a couple of frames for the German squad ages ago and some weirdo in London is now proudly riding his old frame and worshiping him, at least running around with his name in a dubious forum.

he was from an aristocratic French family
no matter you said or did
nothing would fluster him
I used to call him
'the-smiling-buddha'
because he was kinda round and he smiled alot
geezer saved my life
and I strive everyday
to be a little bit more like him
a little bit nicer to people
a little bit less self absorbed
a little less attached to material things
a little bit more chilled out

Mine name comes from having really thick hair.
When I was ten I was playing football with these older lads on the school field near my house. I used to have really blonde hair when I was little but by this point it had gone a murky pond blond, more of a light brown. When I was even younger I had found some clippers while rummaging round my house and had proceeded to cut chunks of my hair out, right down to the scalp. My mum had to shave my head and my hair never grew back the same after that. It stands out straight like I've just been electrocuted, and will not be tamed no matter what I try.
The kids I was playing football with thought my long, brush like, hair looked like the buffing brushes they used at secondary school to buff plastic, as well as being buff coloured, and buffed up. So they called me Buff for the rest of the game, and it stuck. I've been called Buff by everyone I know since.
Unsurprisingly the name is taken on most sites, so I just use ffub instead, a more familiar name used by some of my closer friends.

The name has just sort of stuck and I use it for any project that I'm into at the time... -

Bikes are a bit more of a healthy geeky habit. Though it was fucking great being undefeated for so long in a game!
