kipsy theres a nice cafe at the easterly end of the serpentine that would be a nice scenic meet point, or maybe the Albert Memorial...but that might be a little to far into the discomfort zone for some easties?

I think the meeting place should be something that works in January and February too. So standing around outside isn't as cool as somewhere you could get inside and have a quick whiskey.

As for start time, if we aim to get to polo when that's roughly starting, and we predict that we'll be slow and un-organised with lots of chatting and taking our time. Then after noon seems a good slot... is midday too early?
