Build Does anyone know that place in Deptford that does resprays and decals? I was told but forgot the name.
Witcomb Cycles 25 Tanners hill, Deptford do frames, modifications and can organise restorations/resprays etc. Is this the place you're thinking of?

iirc witcomb send them to Vaz tho for actual spraying...

Hmm how easy is it taking off braze-ons yourself? What tools to use etc?
Probably going to go to armourtex for painting because its just down the road, but if I can't take the braze-ons off I might as well go to Vaz....

re. braze ons: I just want to remove some cable guides off the top tube - I was thinking about having a go at them with a dremel tool, but I'm having second thoughts now!
rakan: which threads were you referring to? -

Depends how precious you are about your frame. I did Vegemite (old Apollo) with an angle grinder.
Once the bulk of the metal is gone, change to a file and just file off the gold braze stuff trying to keep it even.

Taking off braze-ons is no biggie. Hacksaw for the worst bits, then file + sandpaper etc to get it down flat. I took the mech hanger, lever bosses and cable guides off my peugeot in an hour or two.

Do Armourtex do detailed painting, or just one colour all over? Might be getting a Harry Hall 65 frame, and would like some detail highlights?
-
• #41
i dont know but im going to pick up my frame from them somepoint today or tomrrow i will ask for you if u havnt called them already
-
• #42
afaik armourtex are a bike specialist place and don't know much about frames so therefore I would assume they dont do detail.
-
• #43

I restored a 1967 Lambretta 2 years back and had it painted up in a lush pale mint and white colour, and like the idea of using the same green for the frame, and then doing the forks black, as all my parts are black?
hmm, dont think i know her
