the point of it was to point out that carbon emissions aren't that much of a factor in global warming. and to show you how politicians play their game. of course you have to be skeptical about it, i was as well, and it never got me to think that we are not responsible for pollution at all. and as i said, not to contradict myself, people will do anything radical to grab your attention - this film counted in as well. ruling it off without a deeper analysis is making things too black or white.
the reason why i brought this film up is that i don't like this hype about carbon emissions is that everyone's blindly measuring how "green" they are by carbon emissions (you see how these are used in those car manufacturer marketing ploys), and not considering the many other more types of pollution caused at the same time - it ends up with people like tony blair who thinks that growing more trees alone will save the planet. and that's simply pathetic - and that's how pathetic the scientist who ruled off riding bikes and eating more is more polluting to the earth because he doesn't see and couldn't show us the big picture. combustion engines don't just give out CO2. if they do, we won't be in the trouble we're in now.
