Haven't carried a pump, spare tube or any tools for a year now. I just cycle with my fingers crossed. If something breaks I'll hide the bike behind the nearest tree and hitch home to get the van.
I have one of those tiny clip on saddle bags which contains a £10 note, my mobile and my flat keys.
