no, they're very simple - take out the track nuts, insert tugs in the axle.. tighten tugs nut until chain is nice and tight, put back and tighten track nuts :)

okay so i know the conversation has long been lost to mum jokes but to get my chain tight i just jam my fist in between the seat tube and wheel! it just feels right

Fisting?

hehe.. I think this was originally a question from stompy, who I believe has the same bike as I do, a fuji track.. The wheel is so incredibly tight between the dropouts that it almost feels like they're the wrong size hubs.. I don't think the fisting technique would work :)

you could always grease the dropouts?
Hmm. Maybe not on second thoughts. Well, I don't know, just do the bolts up really tight.

well it is doable.. I was used to doing this on a few frames I had with bent dropouts, so it wasn't that big of a deal. But just got some chain tugs and it made it so much easier..
oh smeear, don't be like that!

It really is so easy ... just use one thumb to push the wheel as far back in the dropouts as possible and keep up the pressure, keeping the wheel central between the chainstays (not too hard so that you end up with too much chain tension) then with the other hand, tighten up one track nut at a time.
This is all done with the bike upside down ... easy-peasy, lemon sqeezey !!!
thanks for the answer guys - i didnt get to order it yet as i got side track with work!
I'm going to whitecomb cycles on saturday morning for them to true my wheel and change my rear sprocket to 16t... let's see how hes going to align the backwheel.
how much do u want for those tugs? Im actually unsure how to get them installed but it shouldnt be too hard right? :P
