hi. im one of many hovering around your forum for info. site's a goldmine for ideas!
just stripped the bike i got off ebay. cranks are still on though and a bolt for front brake seized! any ideas on how to loosen it? takin the frame to vaz finishes this saturday for a respray. he's taking out the cable guides and the gear bosses...might as well get him to drill/cut out the bolt.
here's the colour scheme im thinkin of going for
very pale olive green with brown panels (can vaz do pearlised?). brown saddle (hard to find charge spoon) and tape. gumwall tyres. frame's got nice lugs. should they be diff colour/lined? any ideas? chromed lugs and fork wouldve been nice...but cost puts em out of range. any suggestions on colour? still not sure bout brown (brown saddle's hard to find...b17 heavy and swift, swallow too expensive!)...same goes for brown tape.
got these bars with it.
what's the quickest way of cleaning it? or should i just not bother and just tape over it? would like to expose as much silver as possible though. it's a 3t with olympic logo and T.d.F 42 on it (tour de france model in olympic year?). only putting in one brake on the cross to keep the clean look
brand new wheelset coming in this friday. miche primato with mavic open sport. cant wait. just have to search for new crankset. prob stick to miche...cost spiralling out of control (but can still finish under £350...fingers crossed)
