The guy who took the pic is a friend of mine - this was shot in Cali, LA or San Diego I think.. and I met the model the other night at Madame Jojo's (she goes out with a guy I know), and told her how that pic had become iconic in the nerdy world of bike geeks. I probably sounded like one too...

I love those Cannondale Track frames..... it's a shame that you went Carbon with the front forks..... the original fork style was so nice.

Do you use the bottle opener on the surly chaintugs? I have them on a bike, and i actually went outside, down 4 flights of stairs in the pouring rain to use it just to make myself feel better about spending £25 on it.

I have one of the Surl Jethro Tules. 15mm wrench and bottle opener. Cheaper and more useful than the tugs I thought.

not if you carry your bike around as a key ring.

actually i originally bought it for my conversion since the surly's are the only tensioner i know of that actually fits semi-horizontal dropouts. plus they are very easy to adjust if you don't have an allen key with you. see:

underneath there's a red bike trying to get out?
do you think it changes at night when you're not looking, into The Red Avenger, and casts off it's inky shroud to do battle against evil and corruption. only to revert back to the shadowy wrapped creature you are used to by morning?
