  • kowalski Or CONdor. Or Brixton Cycles.

whos cheapest out of the 3?

  • They're all pretty similar.

Haven't seen Nitto at Brick Lane.

Brixton defo list the ahead stem on their site, haven't seen one at CONdor.

  • cheers. i'll give a brixton a shot

  • i bought a b123 from blb. was a little pricier than buying online but it was an impulse thing. don't regret it...

  • We now have nitto in..... just started getting the stuff in.

  • are you brick lane jon? how much for b123aa bars (36cm) what time do you close tonight?

    cheers

  • You kinda get the impression that londonfgss is owned by BLB.
The link says "forum" with scant mention that it links to an external site, namely here.

What do you think of that velocity boy?
Are they paying you in innertubes?

I work for BLB - we may have those bars, I'm not exactly sure what the new Nitto stuff all is yet as it's new. I know there is stems!

Dave's in on the whole thing.....

    xx

  • Whew ! That was lucky !

    xx

  • xxxxxxxxx

  • called up for the b123aa bars they said they had em so i went there to get em but they didnt have em, they only had the cromo version. after all the dicking around with various shops i just got em

  • Nitto stuff can be hard to get hold of due to distributers prices in europe, not all the stuff can be got all of the time unless you have quite a bit of money..... like Condor!

  • i was going to go for the 36cm b123's but im worried they will just be too narrow?
i will prob order the 38cm just to be safe but dont want them feeling like a massive road bar.
anyone got experience with nitto's in these sizes woud be helpful to hear how they are.

  • I have the 38s, and find them quite comfortable but I couldn't go any smaller because there'd not be enough room on the tops for my hands - the curve is quite dramatic on the track bars. if you have big hands, don't get the 36 would be my advice.

my mate has the 36 123aa (aluminium), i tried em and i could probably get used to em but they're not that comfortable. i've got the 40 123 cromos they dont look that much bigger and are morecomfortable for me

  • i have fairy hands as my workmates call them!
im ordering the bars from japan as they only come to £24 with postage(45 was about the cheapest i could find in the u.k),
so im gonna go for the 38's to be safe incase the 36's are a pain. its not much difference and i think having a bit more room for my hands on the top will be better.
    thanks fr the replies:)

less to do with big/small hands, more to do with shoulder width imo. are you getting cromo or alu? i hope you dont get stung by customs mate, thats the problem with ordering outside the eu £24 with shipping is bloody good though, can you post up the link where you're getting em from?

    cheers

  • i think i have fairly small shoulders but for my size im told i have broad shoulders???
im not sure was gonna get steel because they are the cheapest but the alu ones work out at about £35 i think.
yeh customs are a pain i may ask him to send them marked "gift" but dont know if that works?
yeh sure im at work atm but i have the link saved on my home computer so ill post it up later.
its an ebay seller and he has loads of nitto bits and bobs in all sizes:)

  • that didnt work out as well as i wanted it to

  • I found this site through the brick lane link

nice one joe. i am ordering the ug1x stem from that guy. have you ordered yet? it says the shipping is only £7 hope thats true

  • fair play it looks nice i want to get the pearl stem but not sure how to fit it to my bike as ive got a stem a bit like the one you ordered on it now? im a bit mechanically retarded. im worrying over whether to get the 36cm bars or the 38 cm ones and also what type eg steel or alu?
i want narrow track drops but dont want them being a pain in the arse and i think the 36's may be, but on the other hand they may be really nice and ride well? decisions decisions! they are a bday present anyway from my brother so i want them to be right!

the pearl is a quill stem if your headset is 1/18 it wont fit. you need it to be 1" to have that stem - mine is 1/18 only reason i am getting the ug1x ahead stem.

I'd go for 38 to be on the safeside. and i prefer the aluminium as its lighter and not as shiny as the cro mo, but thats just personal taste. make sure you check what style you get 123 is a different shape to 127

  • Don't forget yer shim if you're gonna use the UG with 123s.
