I've just left work on Wednesday afternoon, cycling along past St Pauls looking forward to the sunny 15 mile commute ahead of me, then BANG.
It feels like the back of my bike has exploded, luckily there was no large bus or maniac black cab behind me as I was wobbled right of the bike.
On checking the back of the bike I notice a 2 inch screw has gone through my tyre, tube and RIM. Taking a chunk out of my back brake and put a nice long scratch down the length of my seat tube. I have gone through a Continental and Bontrager tire in 1 week. Both with full Kevlar gubbins. A bad week. http://www.flickr.com/photos/10973128@N08/
Can anyone suggest any double hard tires ?
I am sick of trying to convince the South Eastern train ticket jockeys to let me on, covered in grease with a broken bike before 7pm.
Oh and is anyone missing a screw, as I think I've found it.
