paris has completely changed since they were introduced. The number of cyclists simply doubled, and everyday more and more of my friends are giving up other modes of transport for the velib. The clever thing is the amount of docking bays. You basically never have to worry about locking the thing up, as there are spots all over town to "clip" it in. Supposedly they're never more than 300m apart from each other.
