I had a set of RDs - then hit the lhs one on the kerb and rounded out the spindle. Looking for a replacement I found that they're a road crank rebadged for fixed use, and also come anodized black and called 'messenger RD' and also come rebadged by On-One.
Nobody had any in stock so I bought a set of Miche Pista so that I could get back on the bike sooner. They're immensely better.
edited to add - which is mainly down to the fact that, combined with Miche BB, they make for a much better aligned drivetrain and they've never worked loose, nor has the bb cup unthreaded itself. simple things from a better thought through design i think.
