[cite]Zugster Bags:[/cite]
Greetings everyone,
Well, that time has arrived when I'm now taking orders again for custom Zugster messenger bags. I'd like to thank you all for your patience. First, I want to make sure that a few things about the process are clear.
ORDERING
1) First and foremost, it will most likely take a long time to receive your bag. I work full-time, and make Zugster bags in what time remains. If every person on this announcement list goes on to order a bag, the queue will be over 1.5 years long! No, I'm not kidding. Zugster production is limited to about 35-40 bags per year, tops.
At the moment, the month of August is still accounted for, so I'll start sewing new orders in September.
2) The order process is the same as it's always been - a non-refundable* $50 deposit is required to secure your spot in the queue on a first-come, first-served basis. The balance is due when I'm ready to make your bag. If you're already certain about wanting to order, you can go ahead and send the deposit right away - I accept PayPal (to zugsterbags@gmail.com), checks, and US Postal Service money orders. Contact me directly for info if you prefer one of the latter two options.
[* unless, of course, you send a deposit in only to find the queue is already longer than you want to wait. I'm not that mean]
NEW BAGS
In addition to the standard, deluxe, and mini messenger bags, I have a couple of new bag designs in the works. I'll be adding full details and pricing info to the website in the coming days, as I finalize the designs.
Porteur Bag - This is a modern version of the classic French newspaper courier's bag. It's essentially a large boxy bag with a flap, which sits on a front platform rack. This may be of interest if you have a porteur bike (or any bike with something like a CETMA rack). Here's the prototype photoset: http://flickr.com/photos/aalpern/sets/72157600235627314/ The final bag will include a webbing loop that goes around the rack backstop, d-rings for optionally securing it with bungie cords, a removable shoulder strap, and a removable plastic stiffener in the base, to keep it from sagging into your front wheel or fender.
Walkabout Bag - a classic shoulder bag, intended more for use on foot than on a bicycle. It's got a side-adjust strap instead of the center-adjust of the messenger bags. It features the same floating liner design, and a bunch of useful pockets. Medium sized, it should carry a jacket, camera, lunch, books, and sundries - everything you need for spending all day exploring a foreign city (or wherever you happen to be). OTHER CHANGES
I'm no longer offering the extra-large water bottle pocket option. It was difficult to make, and had too many issues. The side pocket which is standard on every bag now is still capable of holding a standard bike-sized water bottle.
And, that's it! If you'd like to place an order, email to zugsterbags@gmail.com is the best way to do it.
Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
Tips:
Create headers by underlining text with ==== or ----
To *italicise* text put one asterisk each side of the word
To **bold** text put two asterisks each side of the word
Embed images by entering: ![](https://www.google.co.uk/images/srpr/logo4w.png) That's the hard one: exclamation, square brackets and then the URL to the image in brackets.
* Create lists by starting lines with asterisks
1. Create numbered lists by starting lines with a number and a dot

Mention another user by @username
For syntax highlighting, surround the code block with three backticks:
```
Your code goes here
```
Just like Github, a blank line must precede a code block.
If you upload more than 5 files we will display all attachments as thumbnails.
