If you want to try the duct tape trick, I've got a couple of promotional TdF bidons from Evans which you can have. Drink em, then toss them like a pro.
You work in the same place as me - Evans downstairs are handing them out with every purchase.
What? I just bought some gloves from there today and they didn't give me owt!
You a fellow wharfer? Pint tomorrow lunch?

photoben Want to ride bagless if I can.
Ah, crap I was gonna ride with a bag.. now what am I gonna do? Where am I going to put the change of clothes and 20kg of sweets?
-
• #233
I think I want to be with one of the first lots out, that way I can graduate to the back over the course of the night rather than playing catch up for 200 kms.
I am taking a big heavy bag, maybe I can transport some of your sweets hippy - for a price.
-
• #234
I plan to leave nearer the end and then I have people to chase down for the whole ride. (Actually, I was going to ride in a bunch with you lot until I got bored or dropped whichever comes first)
Name your price.
Now I'm thinking of just doing it like the Etape with a bare minimum of kit, no change of clothes, etc. Damn it! Confuzzed!

60/40

• #236
I'm gonna be fully bagged up and will also willingly take the odd bit for anyone who needs.
Will meet 7:30 @ Bethnal Green tube as that seems to be the consensus and just gauge an off time from there - anyone bringing LFGSS spoke cards? -
• #237
Can we get glow-in-the-dark cards.. so we can spot lfgss riders..? I need to know who to pass looking really fast.. ;)
£60.40 is a bit steep MA3K. I'm getting carted back for less than that..

It's been done.. but you're making a mistake. Especially coz I'm gonna keep using my brakes in front of you.. both of them :P
(It's okay, they're campag, they don't work) -
• #239
scott not scot is anyone else riding brakeless for the Dmo?...or am i making a big mistake...:)
I'm thinking of going helmet-less - and I think that's being daring.
-
• #240
I think you misunderstood, it was sixty-percent of your sweets and four pints of blood in case I feel de-oxygenated later on in the night.
-
• #241
My blood is oxygen free.. it's all beer and sugar.
And yet STILL I remain bitter and twisted!?
-
• #242
Try some of this:
You'll be sweet-as in no time. -
• #243
Is she drinking through her ear?? Has my eyeshite finally left me??
-

someone's hypnotised her.
She thinks she's using one of those old timey phones.
"Hello?"

i was hoping to go bagless but can't work out how, particularly since a few tools are needed. sometimes i miss QR. on the plus side the sandwiches ain't gonna be so squashed.
-
• #247
It all depends on how big the pockets are on my jacket and shorts really.
-
• #248
I'm riding in roadie kit so I have jersey pockets.. maybe I will forgo the bag and change of clothes.. just means less sweets to hand out :P
-
• #249
My lycra shorts came today. I tried them on and they made me feel a little dirty.
-
• #250
That's the way they work. You now ride faster to save possible embarassment ;)
