  • I know there's a 'trade' thread where most of the need requests go, but of late there seems to be quite a few discussions popping up about wanting a frame, bike or needing parts. Is there a chance we could stick it all in the same place?
For those of us who are searching for parts etc. but don't have a great deal to trade in the way of 'bike parts'.
    Just an idea.

I for one need a pair of these for my rear hub. Anyone have some?

None at Brick Lane and Condor haven't been a great help today.
I'd rather get the specific ones otherwise it may have to be Clerkenwell Screws or something.
Is there a name for these things?

  • I want a long, micro-adjustable, 27.2mm seatpost.

  • 102/103mm Italian thread bottom bracket.
or one someone could lend me to check that length will be ok.
I have a set of cranks i want to use that i'm sure require that
length but I don't want to spend £30 to find out

  • what cranks are you using?

  • gt track frame???????????

  • wanted
    : brooks saddle/ or rolls
    : track drops

  • Hippy...how long is long? No smuttiness intended :-) I have (somewhere) a 27.2 350mm Easton EA30 seat post. It came off a moutain bike where seatposts tend to be longer. Its black and pretty no frills.

Locknut. Ambrosio hub by any chance?

  • cranks = Stronglight "speedlight"
I can't find any info on them, I've tried them on a 107
Calculations from that make it that a 102 would be fine but
they only ones i can find are campagnolo chorus/record in that length.

if it is i have the other half somewhere...

Is the crank similar to the Stronglight ST1000?

    If so, Hubjub recommend 103mm.

Only cart BB in that length and JIS (IIRC!) is Sugino. It's pretty cheap. Condor keep it, as do Hubjub.

will have a look, but i think i might just have british threading.

    I was thinking this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=007&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=170131284535&rd=1&rd=1

I would have posted a length but I'd need to measure the bike and that requires walking. 300mm long maybe? Most MTB posts are 300mm+
What do you want for it? Has it got one of those ratchet clamps or is it micro, really fine-tuneable?

  • Not the same as the st1000,
British thread will be fine to test, I've got a frame i can put that in.
it's a Italian threaded merckx that i want to put them on eventually.

i'll see if i can find it. loads of stuff is packed away at the moment.

  • Hippy - Its this. Single bolt but lets you tilt the saddle http://www.eastonbike.com/PRODUCTS/POSTS/post_ea30_'06.html

Is this what you were thinking of. Its definitely 350mm. Its yours for a pint.

It says micro-adjust so it sounds like it'd do the trick. It's long enough and at a pint, cheaper than the ebay one and it's recycling, saving the planet. Beaut!
Whereabouts are you JimmyP? Perhaps I could pick it up sort out your pintage?

  • The leafiness (AKA Chiswick). I've gotta find it. I'm pretty sure I know where it is but I moved recently and most of my bike spares are boxed up. I'll be home around 7pm tonight. We could organise a west london drink?

Alternatively, I work in the land of the pink shirted ones (Old Broad Street) and could bring it in tomorrow.

Got the fucker. Its brand new...not a mark on it. Came off my old Kona Kula Deluce. Not the lightest or the prettiest but what do you want for the cost of a pint ;-)

I'm good for a pint in Westland tonight if you want it that soon - anyone else on for a pint?

You're just down the road from me (Broadgate Circle). Could go for a pint tomorrow if you want or I could find you and sort the pintage out later?

  • I'll bring it in tomorrow. we can work the pintage out at some point. no rush. i'll drop you a line at some point and i'll wander over to broadgate circle.

I found another crank i had gave a perfect chain line, So no need for Italian thread
but would still be interested if you found an english threaded one to try the crank on another frame.

  • Sugino do a 103mm BB.

  • this has been mentioned, how much are they?
