I fix it.
I'm perfectly capable of fixing my bike and servicing it, and maintaining the bottom bracket and hubs. It doesn't mean I want to though. Given a choice of doing it or having someone else do it who I trust, I choose the someone else.
I love building new bikes, I love putting stuff together, selecting parts... and then I love riding them. The maintenance and servicing I can take or leave though, and mostly I choose to leave it.
The point I was trying to make though, is the minor tweaking, the constant desire to improve the bike a little. Change something that isn't quiet 'right' for something that for me feels a little better. Who cares who does it?
