  • honestly, i have had this idea for long.
    all these abandoned bikes. i've been really tempted to buy a pair of 4ft bolt croppers to be honest.

    those in the camberwell neighbourhood might have seen these 2:
    about a year ago there was a black one outside edwardes locked up with an abus. just that bloody lock is 50quid new. one day someone started taking bits off it and it was left with the frame, forks, headset and cranks 3 days later. i think someone didn't want the steel handlebars from it and chucked it in the skip and now it's sitting in my room.

    and there was this dawes touring bike outside a shell station on walworth road with a bent top tube. parts go missing from time to time. someone finally removed the frame last week.

    are there actually anything we can do about these? would it be possible to set up an association so we would be allowed to do it legally? you know there's a seller on ebay from merseyside which sells bikes built from salvaged parts... they're a legal thing.

    could easily furnish a full polo team!
