i wouldn't mind building my own bike. i could mitre the tubes myself and would get my old man to weld/braze (he was a welding demonstrator and still has tig and gas equipment) the only thing stopping me is time and getting a jig sorted.
the dave yates course sounds good, from what i hear people are usually really pleased with the results.
