Yeah - it ain't gonna win any beauty contests and the welds are a little on the functional side, but it's pretty cheap (even after dragging back from the states!)
I was thinking maybe I could fork out a bit of cash on having the top tube brake cable eyelets removed and have a slightly less 'gray' paint-job...
Out of interest, any tips (or previous threads) on where you guys favour for buying odds and sods?
Oh yeah - and how feasible is it to use a standard old double ring crank with just the one ring? Alignment issues likely?

Strange to be marketed as a "Track Frameset" yet have 3 braze-ons for a rear brake cable plus a rear drilling. If it was a complete bike I could understand, but something about that doesn't ring true to me.

I like the colour. Also means you can get summat colourful (e.g. rims) and they'll look great next to it.

I can only guess it's intended more down the lines of an 'urban' track bike like your Langsters and Paddy Wagons with their dual brakes?
Cheers for the links too - ain't heard of that Hubjub place before!

- International buyers are responsible for their own customs/duties/import taxes/etc!
- Non-US Buyers will receive a shipping quote following the auction.
- We ship USPS Internationally daily. International packages may take longer to arrive- due to customs!
- International Buyers Please Note that shipping may be significantly higher.
- WE WILL NOT SHIP COMPLETE BICYCLES OUTSIDE THE USA!
- Also, We will not put a lower price, or mark "gift" on custom's tags! In all respect- Please do not ask us to do this!
- Non-US Buyers will receive a shipping quote following the auction.
The auction is also for a 50cm frame. Are you on the short side? I wouldn't bother. UK all the way! (repeat, ad infinitum)

There are quire a few cheap fixed/track frames in the US, the bastards. Thing with shipping is you with have to pay for shipping, import duty and VAT. It quickly becomes as expensive as getting a new pukka frame over here, otherwise I would have a couple of Pake framesets lying around. IRO are cheap in the states too. Somas and Surlys don't cost anywhere near what we pay. Tis a shame that no one has sorted out medium scale shipping of these things as there is clearly demand for cheap fixed gear frames in the UK if ebay is anything to go by.

I noticed Edwards in Camberwell are now stocking track frames. Probably made in the far east, but the shapes looked good and the price was £129.99

er..not sure about the land-based molluscs, man...
snails, for heaven's sake, they are slimy little shits that live in my back yard, just because some moustachioed parisian has soaked them in garlic does not make them a delicacy.

Hello there! First post after a week of lurking, looking at the bike porn.
Just wondered - has anyone heard of and/or used wheelandsprocket on ebay? And even more specifically, anyone got any ideas or opinions on these frame/forks?
The other question is - are BMX chains a safe bet to put on a fixie? Just that I've seen a few nice coloured BMX chains but am not sure if they'll be long enough for a 700cc setup (they'd be new)
Anyway, hope someone can help! I'll get back to perving over exotic Yamaguchi filth now...
