i loves my cycling caps and i get grief everytime i wear one. i got a big heed too even a trucker cap looks like it's got a micro peak when i wear one!

Never had a cycling cap. They're a bit err daggy. I always figured I'd get one when I found a team obscure enough or with a wacky enough name to warrant a purchase..
Riding in Oz where it's too hot and helmets are compulsory is probably another reason they're not often used.

I instructed my friends to kill me if I ever bought a cycling cap.
It doesn't matter if I change my mind, they have been told not to listen to me if I am wearing one.

trouble is, I have considered it...but they are always too gay, with colors and advertising and things.

small/medium sized bonce, so some hats look too big on me.

wooly hat in winter, naked in summer.
Fender trucker's cap with "musician looking for groupies" on it for stag parties.

I have some campag brake levers from about 1990 with the white rubbery hoods. They were up until last week attached to some cinelli road bars but I put the bars on the building i'm building. You can have them too once I work out what kind of stem and bars the new bike wants.

btw. does anyone have a spare back wheel i could borrow for saturday's ride? my new one is taking an age to get built...

lpg, i've got some shitty chromed steel road bars i have no use for. they are tatty and the chrome's peeling off in places. you'll definitely have to put tape on them. give me a shout if you would like that.

To check if it's 1/8 or 3/32 you mean?

I always check my stuff using a piece of a 3/32 (road) chain - if it fits fines, is because the part is 3/32, if it doesn't fit, is because it's 1/8 (track/BMX)...

i dont know how to measure it?
does anyone know how to measure if you sprocket is 3/32 or 1/8?

theres only 2 sizes, one is thin, one is fat.

hehe but how fat or how thin? If you've only got one size to measure you're kinda fscked. That's why you need the verniers or maybe a good steel ruler?
I've never measured them so couldn't even tell you if it's possible to do with a ruler.

if you can't tell just by looking,
you can measure the chain width with a ruler or tape measure innit.

Sh1t, you're right RPM! My 1/8th inch cog measures 1/8 of an inch on my tape measure.
(I am being a smarty-pants here but, seriously, I've never measured one before - wasn't sure if the tape gradients were split down that much)

Selle San Marco saddle and
a Honey coloured Brooks Ti saddle. All the items are in very good condtion. Any offers?
