  • i need one of those for dunwich!

  • just stick your coffee in a camel pack thingy :)

  • I asked Mosquito and they need to order them in.. so if you want one you better get in quick. I don't know when their next order is but you'll be pushing it for DD.
I'm still looking for a thermos flask that fits into a bottle cage.. anyone? anyone?

  • what about the tall thin chrome ones that you can get from ikea?????

  • the ikea ones are poo.
ive had two and they both leaked.
better off spending more and getting a thermos they are lovely.

  • smeear(smeear) what about the tall thin chrome ones that you can get from ikea?????

Hmm.. this.. http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/29291800 Maybe. Don't know the diam. though.

Might just try for a skinnier one and pack it out with a tea-towel.

  • how many spacers are on that bike? is that usual or is that just me?

  • Well, it IS a BLING thread..

  • scott not scot I've used the proper metal sigg water bottles a few times.....their flasks may be the same diameter?....worth e-mailing them maybe?
    http://www.sigg-aluminium.co.uk/index.asp?function=DISPLAYPRODUCT&productid=31

They're not thermos bottles though, just alu bottles. So they'll cool too quick.

  • scott not scot the metro mug is a double walled vacuum flask.....that would keep hot long enough surely?

My bad! I totally skipped the first paragraph and thought it was just a tough alu bottle. I'll read it again, from the top, as they say..

  • scott not scot how bout this one hippy.....they say dont use hot liquids...but thats just for fear of scalding.....looks perfect?
    http://www.sinnport.com/en/index.html (bike bottle) 8hrs warm

Wonder if you can get them here? Also 8hr warm but what happens when you put it in the wind for 200k at 45kph (which I'll be doing, of course :P) You get the idea.
Oh, it comes with a bottle cage which makes me wonder if it's non-standard size? I wanna use my own cages.. Thanks for looking tho!

  • From the FAQ: Around 60 miles out the village hall at Great Waldingfield is specially opened by lovely people and you can buy hot drinks and good basic food there. Best avoid the siren call of the open pubs. Unless of course you need coffee/loo. A few all-night garages can be handy.

I guess that means there are some garages on the way?? Anyone done this before know whether or not I can get coffee at 2-3am?

  • Yeah, posted that link in another thread. Figured it's in the USA so it'd take too long to get here.
The Parker bottle got a bad rap when I asked on the C+ forum.
I'll just take ProPlus and be like a real roadie.. "more pills.. must have more pills!!!"

  • That cup holder scares me quite a bit, surely you wouldn't want scaulding hot coffee next to your hand, i dunno maybe thats just me?

  • splatbucket That cup holder scares me quite a bit, surely you wouldn't want scaulding hot coffee next to your hand, i dunno maybe thats just me?

It has a lid that you flip open (along with a warning about drinking and riding).

  • Nup. But I might be riding it fixed - won a saddle on ebay and the bike's getting its fork swap. Cog off DaveK and some riding and we're sorted!
Could get the £10 red Thermos - it seems to fit. Cold coffee better than no coffee!

  • Tea? I'd rather drink my own urine. :P

  • tea ownes coffee

  • Tea is a waste of good water.

  • coffee makes you pee alot therefore dehydrates you!
    not good for cycling!!!
