Creative don't make it simple at all do they?
I phone up, want to pay by credit card, get told it's better for me to open an account and it will only take a few seconds. So hesitatingly I let them put me through to Sophie to open an account, and then am informed I need a fax machine or to download the application form, and that the account will be opened as soon as I fax back or post back the form.
I don't know where there is a fax machine in this building. I'm sure there's one somewhere. It's probably in accounts. I really don't want to run around faxing things, filling things in, posting things. I just want to send a freaking package.
Why oh why do they have such a pretty website but no way of just opening an account on the site?
Why couldn't they just take my money and say "Someone is on their way.".
It's all I wanted. I don't want to open an account, I don't care if it's cheaper... I just want the least amount of hassle possible. Give me a form on the website to fill in, actually on the website. Let me click submit after spend 5 seconds bashing the info in, and email me right back with my account number. Let me phone you 3 seconds later, and have your system recognise my new account number, and come collect this package.
sigh
Being a techie I get frustrated by antiquated systems that cause me hassle. I'll have to book the collection later now and insist on not opening an account, need to go into a meeting first. And that's the point... time poor. Give me the path of least effort.
