usually both hands, one hand, no hand, one foot, no foot..
-
• #3
I can't do no hander so I may as well just throw my £1 in a charity tin.
-
• #4
are you allowed to put your free foot on the front wheel? if so I may give this a go. I know I would not win but would be good have a go at a comp I can vaguely do.

trackstanding on the road looks so very gay...
worse if it's done badly, some people look like joey deacon handcuffed to an itchy arse
just relax and put a foot down FFS!
props to those who do it well though.

Bite me. I'm saving my cleats!
-
• #7
ok, I'll accept that excuse if it makes you feel better ;)
-
• #8
And I'm practising to be one of those who "do it well"!!!
-
• #9
It does. I'll stop it though if you buy my next pair of cleats.. :)
-
• #10
I'll buy everyone a new pair of cleats.
just as soon as I get your boss's job
-
• #11
I'll see what I can do. 3-day working week right? Bike parking and showers downstairs? Compulsory 3-month pay rises with no performance targets?
-
• #12
yeah, and no work unless it involves bikes or drinking.
I'm planning to turn the company into a massive indoor velodrome, with a bmx track, skate ramps and ten bars with 5 Indian resturants and a bike shop

Jesus: You rang?
-
• #17
sounds like a laugh, but whats the technique for one footed? and how long do they generally go on for?
-
• #18
Take hands off bars, take one foot off pedal.
(end sarcasm)I can't do them but I'd guess they can be done one of two ways:
- Take one foot off and use it to hold the front wheel in place while the other remains on the pedal.
- Take one foot off and use the remaining foot to apply up and down pressure on the pedal to keep you in the one spot. It's just balance.
Watch the Track Stand videos on YouTube for techniques or the million and one trackstand comp videos from alley cats and stuff around the world.
- Take one foot off and use it to hold the front wheel in place while the other remains on the pedal.

elaborate system of mirrors?
be careful, I once knew a man who spied on young girls getting undressed, he used an elaborate system of mirrors.
He got caught and had a restraining order stuck on him! -
