Open to most suggestions, tbh.
My wheels are Deep V on Formula, cranks Sugino 75, mostly Deda finishing kit.
I run a front brake and prefer not to have rear drilling and cable guides.
@lpg: where do I source a bareknuckle? Hubjub are only offering them to order and I just can't wait. Also, are they not from the same pot as the Condor?
-
• #6
What size?
-
• #7
Dunno what you mean same pot, but hubjub website says they stock 54, 56, 58cm.
-

Info on Hubjub's eai front page says it takes weeks or months to get one. I was led to understand they're from the same maker as the Condor.
I'm looking for a 54-56, depending on the specifics.
My Paddy was 54 (compact) and a bit small, the Terry is a 54 and seems pretty close, I've tried a 56 Spesh and that's good too.

the bareknuckle is probably made in the same factory but it's different geometry a different tubeset, cheaper com12, the pista is sat14 (don't forget the potenza with zero replica tubing) and the condor's AFIK are painted over here by colourtech in crayford. condors are semi-compact the EAI traditional.
they are quite different bikes. If you can afford it would buy a lemond filmore to ride now and then order something custom that you really want and sell the filmore later, if you can't do that buy anything that's in stock and your size!

for a non-ferrous bike that cinelli is the shizzle

Just sold the Paddy which is not way different to the Lemond.
Can't find owt in stock or my size!
@RPM: the Cinelli is lovely but the included fork isn't drilled.

Surly Steamroller? Brixton Cycles?
-
• #18
Just find Surly's a bit Sustrans/knit yer own sandals.
The Soma is defo worth a call to mosquito. Never bought a frame to match me brake lever before..
In all honesty, the Cinelli is more to my taste, but I want to run a brake.

Cheers boys!
Lotsa useful input, which has revised my plans.
Had an exchange of views with those Scouse tw*ts so the Terry is being returned for a refund.
I've decided to press my Unit into service as a commuter in the short term. Slow, but a huge improvement on the bus.
And the replacement?
All will be revealed in 6-8 weeks...
... and lands on a clown.
It was virgin on the ridiculous.
A bloke orders a frame from Dolan's...
Replacement frame arrived at the office his morning. Having lugged it home in the rain I set about building it up. Finally!
Except it was the same feckin' frame I sent back a week ago.
Kinda sick of this now. Been off the road for weeks.
So what to buy instead?
Can pay a bit more if necessary, but I need to sort it asap so it's gotta be off the peg. Don't fancy the Jackson at Putney, btw.
