My ride home was insane!
Just as I left work it started hammering it down, complete with hail stones. I decide to wait for maybe 5 minutes before a break in the downpour provides an exit.
I get to Buckingham Palace and again it starts absolutely p!ssing it. Thunder, Lightning the works. 10 minute wait before thinking fack it. Off I go.
Get to Parson's Green… wait for it… the road is completely flooded! Looks like a tributary of the Thames. Not only that, the hailstorm from earlier has stripped the trees of leaves which are floating in the water and covering the pavements and there's literally piles of ice lining the kerbs.
