  • will be hard but i`ll do on the fixed, its my only bike, lol

just need to book the train back...

  • book the train from Darsham, there will be a few of us on it

  • dude...

  • I'm up for it - sounds like people are preferring the train back? I'll be riding fixed (gulp.....) - hopefully on the new one if Condor get the bloody thing finished in time!

  • Same, who is up for 70-80 km training runs on Sunday mornings?

  • Training? I was planning to turn up and suffer! ;-) .....ok, maybe its a sensible idea......

  • What time train back?

  • Woo Hoo !!!
I've just bought my ticket back.
See you at the start line.

  • same here, got my ticket on Friday.
Looking forward to it. Fuck training though, just take it easy and all will be good I reckon.

  • Ok I'm in too. Just booked the coach back - can't wait for it! (the ride, not the coach)

  • If you get too exhausted you can take a kip and continue in the morning.

    I'm doing it FIXED in 48 x 16

  • I'm on the coach too brett.. don't fall asleep in my lap. ;)

  • eeeuuuuggghhh!!!
I am quite scared of falling asleep on the way there though and ending up blissfully dozing in a hedge post-crash.

  • Sounds like the ride to Stonehenge..

Someone joked about ProPlus but I reckon I need some - especially if there's no servos (garages, whatever) to get a coffee from.

  • I'm also on the coach :)

  • Excellent.. another lap warmer.. :P
I wonder if Mosquito bikes stock the Soma coffee holder? Or perhaps a modified bottle cage for a thermos full of coffee??

  • Couldn't see it on the mosquito site and they are soma stockists..

  • I'm most likely doing this with gears... Not for any reason except that my road bike hardly ever gets out of the closet and it needs to see daylight (!). With luck I'll be able to visit my dad for breakfast and so won't need to battle with the coach / luggage trucks. Hmm. That all sounds almost like I'm cheating!

  • Is anyone doing this for charity? I know we're all doing it for fun, but it seems like there would be some good fundraising opportunities if you have a favoured cause, because most colleagues/relos/mates would be fairly impressed by the distance and circumstances.

  • mdja I'm most likely doing this with gears... Not for any reason except that my road bike hardly ever gets out of the closet and it needs to see daylight (!)

I thought it was a night ride. :D

  • Got my train ticket today - 1138 from Darsham - anyone else on that one??

  • eedjit - just realised i booked the sat morning! serves me right for doing this interwebbery business after the pub!
