breglis I like German language a lot. English is very prompt and just designed for sounding cool, but the German logic with word compounds is just hilarious if you think about it. example ?
a hammock literally translated from German is a "Hang-Mat"
nostrils is "Nose-Holes", Kettle is "Water-Cooker", I could go on..
For the same reason English has abut 1/3 more of vocabulary in everyday usage.
Even though it is very very structured and accurat the Grammar is among the worst.
I think we just had to make up for the English verbs + preposition:
get on, get off, get in, get away.....try?
Yeah, I always loved the way the German language does that. I always enjoyed the grammar side of German too, very logical (which I like - I'm quite a logical thinker). Haha, my college had a German university student helping in our language department and he always used to complain about our endless verbs and prepositions!
I'm probably going to pick up German again at university, I've been thinking about it for a while. I wish I tried harder with it at college now :(
