the longest day

Guys,
am already in the office...and it realy feels like the looongest day today. Possibly due to yesterdays 'social' event.
I feeeeel London is a very bike-unfriendly place. Ok, you cant do much about the weather but these bike paths are just a complete piss-take. When have they been put in place here ? To me it feels as if somebody has just copied the form from somewhere else but not understood the real function. It is a bit like the sidewalks in the US...LOL. All these Buses & Taxi pulling over just make it a dangerous and unenjoyable exercise. You guys avoid them ?

Took me a while to used to the idea but now I try to ride on the right hand side of the traffic as much as possible.

you get used to it soon, you'll see taxis as a challenge rather than an annoyance, buses as something to slip stream, white van man an thing to hurl abuse at i do love cycling in london at times racing through gaps that are disappearing whipping up kerbs to gain afew seconds thrill a minute a death defying escape every journey
but then again cycling along deserted country roads with beautiful scenery in the outskirts of london is pretty nice too

was a designer at the Bauhaus. Designed a typeface called Universal which was based on his beliefs that you don't need capital letters etc.

I thought they were a warning to cyclists NOT to ride there cos of broken glass, parking cars,
opening doors, taxis pulling in, HGVs unloading, pedestrians stepping out, metal grates, potholes and
the fact that cars coming out of side roads can't see you very easily.

I wonder what they'd make if they were actively trying to harm cyclists!?
