i know people do ride fixed off road but i just couldn't imagine pedaling through a really bumpy section when pumping the bike with pedals level is so much quicker and smoother, the idea of riding jumps and drops fixed doesn't appeal to me and the pedal strikes would piss me off no end. everything i like about riding fixed on the road just doesn't transpose to the way i like to ride off-road
top work riding the seven staines fixed though, i bet the 7in travel freeride brigade love it when you pass them downhill :-)
