Manhole covers - around or over them (as opposed to riding over them)
diesel spills - don't brake on it. brake before or after
turning at speed - don't brake. I've dumped my ss once doing that, never will again.
I guess you just learn to ride in a way that you know won't cause you problems, in the same way that a fixie brakeless learns to cope without brakes.
