Fixed on a plane

  • Does anyone know any companies that make robust luggage that is designed to put a bike in? Don't mind if it requires the wheels etc to be removed and flat packed.

    Flying international? Use a box.
    Flying pan-european? Use a bag.

  • Where are you going then?

  • mornin build - I've got a hard case bike box you are more than welcome to use

it's a lot lighter than a scicon, it's about 7.5kgs and comes with a load of pipe lagging, i've taken my bike to Oz quite a few times with it.

Offer open to anyone on the forum - i just ask that you chuck 20 quid into a cancer charity

    cheers

  • that's a really kind offer, wayne. might take you up on that in the future.

  • this luggage wouldn't happen to contain... SNAKES!!!??

  • are you mad - SNAKES!! on a plane!!

that has the potential to be very dangerous, what would happen if some of the snakes escaped, some people just don't think through the consequences of their actions

  • maybe if said snakes escaped and got all horny and crazy and shit, they could just turn the heating in the plane off, said snakes are cold blooded and would just go to sleep.
wouldnt make for a good film though

  • hollywood they never go with the simple sensible options

  • More like:

    No-Brakes on a Plane

  • MA3K Where are you going then?

As we said tonight. Anywhere hot. Cheers for the bevronz.Speak tomorrow.

  • I've never been out of the states with my bike before, London will be the first trip, does it cost much to do so?

  • ^ costs depend on the airline.
norwegian.no (budget carrier) said €40 on the website, but at check-in they let me off... British charm?

  • ^Thank you! I'll look into that....No British charm for me. Perhaps I can bat these eyelashes?

  • hehe! try and look poor. and arrive reeeeeaaaaallly early for check-in.

  • I too have a hard case if anyone wants to borrow one.
