TheBrick(Tommy) one of my personal favorates
Thx Tommy, I know backtotheoldskool.co.uk from a few late-night nostalgia sessions. I actually saw SUAD live at a rave called Perception in 1991 or 92, somewhere in the south west (can't remember much nowadays...) They played Raving I'm Raving - I was pretty wazzed and found it completely hilarious, but some sanctimonious ravers kept casting me strange looks... They took it far too seriously for a Cher cover...
But the best parties were always the dodgy ones - Spiral Tribe, Circus Warp, Eze Love, Sketchy Crew, etc, etc. Them were the days etc.

92 is a bit before my time (vintage 1980), started getting into it when "one in the jungle" show (94 95 ish?) started up and then herd the old stuff at parties . I grew up around Oxford and in the surrounding country side and Berkshire downs there where quite a few free parties going most of which always had an old school vibe, hence why I think my music taste are a bit old school.
But yeah I know what you mean I have been to helter skelter and that but the free parties, in field dancing in mud where the best.
ha ha ha and ivor cutler....if you've never heard of this guy put him into radioblog...oh dear, worst thing is that hes a 'serious' musician i.e. he's not taking the piss...but on the upside i dont think any kind of music has made me laugh so hard in a long long time...
personal favourites include:
i'm happy
pickle your knees
a suck of my thumb
mary's a cow...
infact on second thoughts there all bloody great...pls i urge you to actually listen to it ha ha ha
