Hi everyone, my friend Aidan introduced me to this place (think his name is Turd Furgeson... from Will Ferrel's Saturday Night Live DVD - can you tell we're students yet?) I'm riding a single speed raleigh "Eclipse" with a Reynolds 501 frame. Here it is as it appeared in it's Ebay picture:
Has gone through numerous changes since then, will photograph it in its current configuration soon... The gears are now gone, the handlebars (and tyres) are blue with vuelta wheels, it's had a new bottom bracket fitted and the ratio has changed at least 3 times. I rode it at 42-15 for two days, and nearly died twice. I think the ratio was a little too high for the frame/wheel combination; the wheel was basically pulled into the frame when setting off (and therefore putting in some effort), chucking me over the handlebars in a comical (but painful) fashion. Now back to 42-16 with a little thingamy screwed onto the rear wheel that will hopefully stop the problem.... fingers crossed. Still i love the bike to bits, even though it's been a complete money pit.
