-
• #4
damn, sorry fella, i need one too, if you find out let me know
-
• #5
sure, will do.

31trum - the quickest way to get one is probably going to be through betd - they said 6 weeks! i've rung everywhere the sells them that is listed on google, and they're all out of black. i've just placed an order and i'll wait for it.

-

London fields had a pair hidden when the waiting listing at betd was 6 weeks last november.

• #10

-

any one had experience of on-one Track Hubs? good price, but not sure whether it'd be a false economy vs. a Goldtec
-
• #14
wow there propper cheap
-
• #15
proper cheap is probably proper crap. there's a reason why goldtec's are pricey, and that's 'cause their good.
off topic: those dinotte lights on one sell are sooo nice.
-
• #16
ok, but on reputation I'd assume Goldtec is priced to quality
I'm just wondering what quality the on-one is priced to; will the threads be made of cheese or is it a decent option when trying to budget? -
• #17
the on-one hubs will be made in the same factory in taiwan as all the other cheap hubs.
-
• #18
this
plus this
:) -
• #19
lol - that's exactly what some shop in cambridge offered they could do for me!
-
• #20
anyone have experience with condor's own hubs?
-
• #21
i fondled a pair in the shop, they are very nice.
if they did them in silver or grey i would have brought a pair for my pista but i went with the goldtecs. you do know they are made by goldtec don't you? -
• #22
i very recently had a set of the condor hubs built up. I've only got about 200 miles on the wheels - but they're doing the job so far.
they're noticibly lighter than the goldtec version, the whole asymmetrical profile is sort of strange.
I had a hell of a time getting my cog on though - would go on about 3/4 of a turn then just stop. ended up taking it to condor and got them to do it. just an extremely tight fit - anodizing too thick was their excuse. -

had the same problem on goldtec, after putting on for 1/2 turn undoing then tightening a bit more, repeating the process until fully on. now it ain't going nowhere, good hub by the way.

i might get a PAIR IF DON'T FIND ANY BETTER/CHEAPER BLACK HUBS (sorry for the caps)

Stef: Have you looked at the Dia Compe Fixed/Fixed hubs they have at Brixton Cycles?
Decent sealed hubs and about half the cost of the Goldtecs (with the bonus of a 42mm chainline). Not quite as nice as the Goldtecs but definitely better than Formulas etc.
anyone know where I can get hold of a front goldtec track hub in black? they seem impossible to get in black at the moment. managed to get a rear one, just need to have a matching set ;-)
