Alright,
I'm Simon, from Dublin but living in Chicago right now, I sort of know velocity boy through there. I lived in London for a bit last year, and will be moving there for about 6 months or so sometime in the next two years. Just thought I'd sign up, say hi, see what's going on here that's different/better than what we've got going on in Chicago.
Here's me bikes:
Love the spoke cards yiz have worked on, by the way!

Hey! I know you (kinda)... welcome to the other cycling forum I host. Though this one has no Naz, just me.
Sweet bikes.
Oh, and the London forum hasn't yet dissolved into mayhem ;)

Just realised that I've not introduced myself, how rude of me!
Anyway, just moved to London (about two months ago now), and just getting to know the city. Currently riding a LeMond Fillmore which has to be the greatest fun I've had on two wheels before (my mountain bike is officially shunned). If you see me, say hello!

Hi my name is Clarence. I have been riding fixed for a long time (15 years) not by choice but purely through being given hand me down bikes from uncle who is a weekend trackster. The pinnacle being a Yamaguchi which got stolen 3 months ago by some cunt who i hope dies a slow agonising death! I have since managed to put together a nice little runner based around a found lotus frame. Even though I don't live in London (Ipswich) it is nice to finally find some like minded people instead of constantly being mocked by people thinking I cannot afford a bike with two brakes and gears!

TheDude
Why don't you come down to London for the Dunwich Dynamo. There is thread on it some where. Then you could effectivly ride home?

Sounds like a plan. Have you (or any others) done this on a fixie? What have your experiences been like?

I am thinking of doing it fixed, the route is not to hilly so why not? Plus the prvailing wind will be a tail wind.

hello, all,
my name's philip and i'll be moving to london in august (july 26th, more specifically, just in time for London's Calling... is anyone else thinking about doing the ride to Dublin for the CMWC? i only just found out that some people are riding over)
currently living in paris, where i've met no fixed riders, though i've seen the odd bike. i'll be here until the 26th of june, if anyone's got plans to come over and wants to do some riding (le car, you mentioned you pass through here fairly often...)
if i don't see you here, i look forward to riding with you in august -

Hi all,
Been lurking for a while, my name's also Philip.
Started cycling again in the last year since moving back to London.
Currently riding a second hand Langster, which I don't mind.
My other bike, is an inherited Ken Ryall frame from 60's/70's, is currently at Witcomb being tracked, before being repainted & rebuilt.
Interestingly, relative to this being a cycling forum; I picked up on Witcomb, browsing here whilst looking for info, & living down the road in Deptford, thought sweet, just what I need; took the bike in, & the 1st thing Barrie?Witcomb says is 'I think that's one of mine', because he recognized the style of the lugs wrapped around the seat tube , having supplied Ken Ryall of Hounslow back when it existed.
Anyway, I'll post pictures once I get my laptop at home fixed, otherwise me & the langster, I thought Chris Morris/Denholm in the IT crowd, standing in the office with his bike would be a good image, but couldn't find one. -

haa yeah deffenatly
Yeah hippy I have read her page several times. It's one of the ones that convince me that I could do it with out a full on machine shop. Finding any work space is a problem in London though.
Cool I would love to come around and have a look at your jig e.t.c if possible. I am away working this weekend but evenings next week I am all good.
