When I did it on my own the first time it was the same weekend as the South of England Show and I got stuck right in the queues. There were big hedges on either side of the road so the only way to get ahead was to walk.
I am expecting it to be busy, but I have my info pack already, so don't know if I can change to another time. And you have to wear a helmet as well. I bought a cheapo one from Lidl which is sitting on the shelf ready for use.
I used to live in Brighton so have places where I can crash for the night and avoid the rush back.
